Based near Tring Hertfordshire, we cover a large area of the South East of England.

We have an immediate vacancy for a Service Manager to join our team. The role will include promoting business in the aftermarket for our market leading brands as there is significant potential for growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience of construction and/or industrial equipment, with good ethics, drive, determination, and customer facing skills.

The role of Service Manager includes:

• The management of the service department and its team in an efficient, effective and profitable manner, whilst observing health and safety and delivering customer service excellence always.
•  To progress the service department through promotion of preventative maintenance and servicing​
• To increase profitability by introducing cost efficiency measures and procedures.
• To control the housekeeping and the on-going improvement of the workshop, workshop facilities & service vehicles in line with the manufacturers Dealer Service Excellence expectations.

Duties will include:

• Diagnosis of all incoming service calls, allowing correct and cost effective prioritized job allocation, whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed
• Managing external customer call outs alongside new machine pre-delivery inspections and installations as required by the sales department.
• Overseeing, managing and reporting on all warranty work.
• Ensuring that all works are compliant with manufacturer expectations and that all campaigns are completed accurately and on time.
