Spadeoak Construction is an established name in the asphalt surfacing industry having operated for over 40 years. They continue to be recognized as one of the highest quality contractors in the UK. Spadeoak recently took delivery of 3 brand new Ausa site-dumpers supplied by Boss Plant Sales. The smart white, factory painted, machines are Ausa D450 AHG models with rotary skips and a 4,500 kg payload.
The machine pictured was put straight to work handling asphalt loaded by a Kubota mini-excavator, also supplied by Boss Plant. The new Ausa was used by Spadeoak to assist with the asphalt surfacing of a new car park at the Chase Farm Hospital (part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust) in Enfield, Middlesex. Spadeoak was working for Galldris Construction on this job. Due to the restricted access to the car park, the asphalt was tipped from the delivery vehicles onto the surface of the entrance road and a Kubota KX121-3 mini excavator then loaded the material into the skip of the Ausa dumper which moved it to the wheeled paver. The rotary movement of the dumper skip helped the operator to evenly distribute the asphalt across the wide of the paver’s hopper. Spadoak used two tandem rollers on the job, a BOMAG BW120AD and a BW80AD. Comments are closed.
