In the last week of March we delivered 3 identical Kubota U50-5 to Flannery’s Birmingham plant yard to a uniquely comprehensive specification including orange beacon, green seatbelt beacon with a Deadman’s device preventing operation of the machine unless the safety belt is being used, high visibility grab handles, TrakUnit telematics to AEMP2.0 standard, high visibility seatbelt, Mutley bucket ram guards, LOLER certification, CESAR security marking and registration, along with white noise travel alarm and Tema quick release couplings as before but now with the addition of Summit height and slew restrictors with a purple beacon. Finally, Miller hydraulic hitches, buckets, and the innovative Miller Mate safety system, which ensures that the correct attachment changeover process is carried out by the operator, were specified.
The machines were delivered, after preparation and pre-delivery inspection in Boss Plant’s Tring base, with Flannery Plant livery ensuring that the new Kubota’s can go straight to work on-site. The remaining Kubota U50-5 machines will be delivered in April to Flannery Plant depots around the country.
